The Apache Sunrise Day Lodge on the White Mountain Apache reservation is designed to provide skier dining, ski school and restroom facilities at the summit of Apache Peak, an 11,000 feet mountain. The building is designed to architecturally blend and reflect the magnificent mountain setting. The building form reflects the shape of the mountain peaks. Materials come from the area including stone, wood and copper roofing. The facility has three distinct dining venues: scatter concept dining, specialty dining and bar/ lounge dining. Diners can enjoy the scenery from large window walls and from a wrap- around deck that provides a sweeping vista of distant mountain areas. Large windows of the bar/lounge dining faces the ski slopes with views of skiers as they unload from the ski lift and descend down the mountain.
