The New Mexico Game & Fish Headquarter Office Building provides a consolidation of the previous facilities that was spread over five locations in Santa Fe. The building was designed to compliment and blend with the magnificent rolling 60 acres of pinion and cedar tree-filled topography. The building is a single story low profile facility with sloped metal roofs supported by heavy timber wood trusses. Large roof overhangs protect numerous windows that provide constant views of the New Mexico great outdoors. The windows and huge dormer structures provide natural, non-glare daylight throughout. The indoor open office and fixed office environment is acoustically quiet, comfortable and pleasant. A center public lobby features heavy timber construction, a huge fireplace gathering area, large windows and education features about New Mexico’s abundant fish, wildlife and their care and control.
