The Collin McMillan Office Building houses a Bank and Accounting Firm. The building concepts are shaped by provisions to provide shade from the New Mexico sun and to provide strong tenant identification signage for vehicular traffic along Jefferson Avenue. Metal trellises devices have been designed to shade large windows on the south side to allow glare free natural daylight to flood the interior of the major bank tenant, First Federal Bank. The exterior building envelope includes high R-Value walls and roof and special low-e glazing systems. An energy efficient mechanical system includes raised floor for easy open-office system changes and to provide even distribution, low velocity and moderate temperature heating/cooling for an excellent and comfortable indoor environment. The other major tenant, an accounting firm loved the attractive burnished concrete block signage walls that provided them great signage visibility to fast moving traffic on the major Jefferson Blvd.
