The South Valley Central New Mexico (CNM) Community College Campus was originally an elementary school owned by Albuquerque Public Schools. DWL/NM worked in collaboration with CNM administration, physical plant and campus provost to determine the best upgrades and additions needed for the campus conversion. The master plan projected phased projects. Initial Phases completed by DWL-NM included the creation of a new campus image to reflect the surrounding Hispanic neighborhood culture. The remake of the campus included: upgrades to administration areas, new and remodeled restrooms, upgrades to classrooms, electrical and utility infrastructure upgrades, new and upgraded mechanical systems, new paved parking exterior lighting, and drought tolerant landscaping. The new campus image was signaled with a new icon entry court with shaded waiting and mosaic tile columns.
