Museum of International Folk Art; Lloyd Cotsen Wing Addition: The purpose and goal of this folk art wing addition was two fold: to exhibit a wonderful and abundant collection of folk art that the CEO of Neutrogena had accumulated and to educate the community about the incredible variety of folk art gathered throughout the world. The desire was to enlighten and educate about the material and process used to create the folk art. The main Lloyd Cotsen exhibit hall has flexible lighting system and data grid systems to accommodate exhibit rotation. A new naturally day-lit lobby serves three separate museum wings: the Lloyd Cotsen Wing, the Hispanic Heritage Wing and the Gerard Wing. A significant part of the public education component is an interactive viewing area. Direct viewing and communication with the adjacent storage and conservation area is part of the public education process.
