The El Privado project was envisioned to occupy the bottom floor of the Third & Central project. The client envisioned four separate dining and entertainment venues with a strong authentic Mexican influence. The intent in the prominent corner building was to serve food that featured the different regions of Mexico and educate the public about the cultures and history of each of the regions, especially the Mayan and Aztec cultures and village market scenes. Upon entry into the restaurant, diners and bar would be focused on a large Mayan icon figure with waterfall feature behind. An exclusive nightclub at the adjacent connected building was to feature an Aztec icon figure with fire and water theme. The third adjacent building was to feature a highly energized dance venue. The forth venue was a cigar bar that featured an abstracted agave centerpiece plant, cigar humidity control storage and a cigar wrapping workstation.
